AWARDS PRESENTATION

Awards will be announced at the WHITE PARTY on Sunday August 25th 2024 at The Island in the Gold Coast.

Make sure you have purchased a ticket to come along to the evening.

milk_shake Creative ARTIST

Criteria:

To enter the Creative Artist award category, your look must demonstrate your technical skill set in colour work and strong and or bold placement.

Your formula must indicate that you have a clear understanding of tones and shades with the colour synergy amongst the milk_shake colour portfolios to achieve your final look. 

Entry Requirements:

- Submit x 3 photos and 1 x video on Instagram with your completed look and concept in salon/soft natural lighting.

- One face on photo, one side profile and one back of head capture. 

- Photo and video must be entered of high res quality and not be filtered or enhanced 

- Smartphone photography or professional photography accepted

- Before images must be attached to see the canvas prior to colour transformation, models before should be a significant change to completed creative finished look. 

- Submissions must also include total concept of colour/ treatments, styling and finishing products used

- Submissions will be made by posting on your Instagram feed between May 1st and July 1st 2024 and you must tag @conceptual_brands_au as well as use the hashtag #confab2024creativeartist all images (before and after) should be posted within one carousel post

- Please ensure there are no spelling errors with the tag or hashtag or your entry may be invalid. Please ensure your profile is set to public.

MILK_SHAKE COMMERCIAL ARTIST

Criteria:

To enter the Commercial Artist award category, your look must demonstrate cohesive colour placement and seamless levels, tones and shades working together in harmony with one another.

Your formula must indicate that you have a clear understanding of tones and shades with the colour synergy amongst the milk_shake colour portfolios to achieve your final look.

This category is all about capturing the global movement of natural beauty in tones and colour enhancement. Think luxurious and high polish finish.

Entry Requirements:

- Submit x 3 photos and 1 x video with your completed look and concept in salon/ soft natural lighting.  

- One face on photo, one side profile and back of head capture. 

- Photo and video must be entered of high res quality and not be filtered or enhanced 

- Smartphone photography or professional photography accepted

- Before images must be attached to see the commercial canvas prior to colour service 

- Submissions must also include total concept of colour/treatments , styling and finishing products used

- Submissions will be made by posting on your Instagram feed between May 1st and July 1st 2024 and you must tag @conceptual_brands_au as well as use the hashtag #confab2024commercialartist all images (before and after) should be posted within one carousel post.

RETAILER OF THE YEAR

Criteria:

The retailer of the year is awarded to the salon with the most retail sales of milk_shake products. This award was created to honour excellence in customer experience. This is the ultimate accolade that recognises salons at the forefront of excellence in customer service and sales.

Outstanding Retailer of the year is an award we have given since the first CONFAB. We value our salons ability to advocate for the milk_shake brand and being able to educate and inspire customers to use professional haircare at home between salon visits is important to the customer as well as to their stylists. At milk_shake we advocate for natural beauty and encourage our customers to create low maintenance ongoing routines to continuously care for their hair.

Entry Requirements:

- To be eligible as Retailer of the year you must be a customer of Conceptual Brands Distribution Pty Ltd

SOCIAL DISRUPTOR

Criteria:

The Social Media Disruptor of the year award is given to a salon that submits x5 separate pieces of content that is creative, promotional and valuable to the their audience. We will also be assessing that the salon has a proven record over the past 12 months July 2023 - July 2024 for consistently promoting their salon and the CB brands.

Entry Requirements:

- Post x5 pieces of separate content (can be video reel, carousel or still images) to Instagram between May 1st 2024 and July 1st 2024

- Content should be a mixture of still imagery and video. Smartphone or professional imagery is accepted.

- You must tag each Instagram entry post with @conceptual_brands_au and use the hashtag #confab2024socialdisruptor to be eligible

- Each piece of content should be uniquely created for the purpose of entry and focus on a milk_shake, KIN or DEPOT product

- Content should not have other brands visible this includes capes, tint bowls/brushes, product, signage etc

- Please ensure there are no spelling errors with the tag or hashtag or your entries may be invalid. Please ensure your profile is set to public

KIN Lover

Criteria:

Create a 30 -60 second video entry submission of “why you love kin”  please reference the below questions in your video

Q1. What about KIN made it the right brand for you and or the team. 

Q2. If you could comment on one thing that gets you excited about the KIN family what is it that captures you eg . The ethos, the ingredients, the packaging and sustainability, performance etc 

Entry Requirements:

- Your submission should be a 30-60 second video/reel that should be shot in salon.

- We encourage aesthetics of soft natural lighting, clean backgrounds, no other brands on display etc.

- Your submission can be shot on your smartphone or by a videographer.

- The winner will be selected based on the quality of spoken content of their video as well as the aesthetics of the video polish and finish.

- Footage can be a mixture of voice over, product imagery and interview style or all interview style.

- Your video must be posted to Instagram between May 1st and July 1st 2024. Your video must tag @kincosmetics.au and @kincosmetics.pro as well as posted with the hashtag #confab2024kinlover to be valid

- Please ensure there are no spelling errors with the tag or hashtag or your entry may be invalid. Please ensure your profile is set to public.
